Dr. Jann Lacoss, Assistant Director of Admissions, Caltech
Jann Lacoss is currently Assistant Director of Admissions at Caltech. She joins Caltech after several years as a Faculty Consultant at the University of Virginia's Teaching Resource Center, where she led workshops on various aspects of teaching. This interactive workshop is designed to help you define your audience, refine your classroom presence and assign ways to gauge how well your students are learning the material. Come early for refreshments.

Dr. Haim Weizman, Faculty Member of Chemical Education at University of California, San Diego
Haim Weizman, on the faculty in chemical education at UCSD. Prof. Weizman, a winner of UCSD's 2008 Distinguished Teaching Award, is known for his outstanding teaching in organic chemistry and chemistry laboratory courses; he has also introduced successful videos for teaching chemistry laboratory techniques and safety. Dr. Robyn Dunbar, Senior Associate Director of Stanford's Center for Teaching and Learning
Dr. Dunbar consults with individual faculty and graduate students, as well as with academic departments, to support a variety of teaching and educational objectives. This seminar will cover (a) how to get feedback from students on your teaching, and (b) how to host effective office hours and review sessions. Lunch will be provided.
