Want to know what works in teaching?
The Caltech Center for Teaching, Learning, & Outreach invites the Caltech community to a discussion about the new book release, Reaching Students: What Research Says about Effective Instruction in Undergraduate Science and Engineering. The book is available free online at http://www.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=18687.
Whether you want to know more about what led up to this groundbreaking volume, talk with colleagues who are interested in the book's subject matter, or plan to read a short segment beforehand, each discussion will provide some context information and will be structured to adapt to the interests of the participants.
