CPET Discussion: Book Club Series - Exploring How We Teach
We invite all interested graduate students and postdocs to join us on Monday, November 14th at 3-4pm in the CTLO Workshop Space for an in-person discussion group on the topic of coping with graduate teaching anxiety. This discussion group will be the first in our Caltech Project for Effective Teaching (CPET) "book club" series where we discuss several selected chapters from the book Exploring How We Teach.
In this discussion group, we will examine Chapter 16 of Exploring How We Teach and delve into some advice from Ryan Cheek for dealing with graduate teaching anxiety. As this is a topic that has likely impacted us all at some point, we also invite you to share your own experiences and strategies for dealing with teaching anxiety!
We kindly ask everyone to read the (short) chapter ahead of time so that we are all on the same page (pun intended) for the discussion!
